Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I’ve been faily busy with catching up on work I’ve left to the last minute. I’ll fill some space by first telling you about some of the gems I’ve found on the internet recently.
Googling for Video Servers
There has been a large increase in the number of users for cameras with built in web-servers, such as those built by Axis. I have one myself, and they are excellent, especially the ones with built-in 802.11b, as all you need is a power source.
It might not be much of a surprise that most of them are unsecured and fully visible on the internet, here are a few:
- Stuttgart Airport
- University of Helsinki
- Anchorage International Airport
- Washington Street
- A laundrette – in Japan
Things My Girlfriend and I Have Argued About
You should check out his site, and his battle with the Mail on Sunday. I won’t link you, but you can see by going through his site, which works in quite a fluidic way…
I just grabbed this bargain today for the living room. I was going to get Denon AVR-1705 and get seperate speakers, but the Sony package has very high quality speakers anyway, and saves me a lot of mhoney. I suppose later on I will upgrade to a seperate amplifier and speaker package, but this will do quite nicely for now.
24 – Season Four
If you’re in the US, you will be able to catch the new series this Sunday (9th I think)! If you’re in the UK, it gets aired on Sky One on the 30th January. There more information about TV times for the US here. How will they top season one to three though? I’ve read the synopsis, it doesn’t sound that exciting, but it doesn’t give anything away. If you live in the UK and don’t have Sky One, there are various ways of getting the episodes.
Java Excercise From Hell
The title exagerates it a bit (but who doesn’t), but this was by far the hardest Java excercise I’ve done yet. For those of you intrested, its Unit 8 Part 3. I won’t explain it here in length, it’s not very exciting, but I’ll let people download the source code. It’s fairly well commented, and (I hope) easy to understand.
Note: this does not let you let off this code as yours. I retain ALL copyright on this code, do NOT try to pass this code as your own if you’re going to use it for it’s intended purpose (worth 7% of the PRG modual).
*I’ve updated with a new Google link which gives a much more accurate search.
