    Hehe, this is funny.

The “windows con” title ringed a story. One day a friend of my wife’s (she was my girlfriend back then) phoned to ask for my help. The issue was that a “friend” of his sent him a .bat file and this guy blindly double-clicked it. The result? All in “My Documents” gone :( So he asked me what can he do to “joke back” but without such devastating results. I came up with a small program (written in Pascal, hehe), called pamela.exe. When it starts, it asks “Do you want me to unzip and display 134 (I don’t remember the exact number) Pamela Anderson’s nude photos?” If you click “Cancel”, nothing happens. If you say OK, your windows.com file gets renamed to windows.con ;) and the program says “Error while unzipping” or something. The beauty of it was that nothing happens visually, only the next time you start your OS (WIn 98 and 95 I believe), it says that there’s an error and it cannot load the OS, without giving you hints as to where the problem is. Sweet. Then after you have the laugh, you can tell the victim to rename windows.con back to windows.com and the live goes on :) And in Bulgarian (I come from Bulgaria) “con” (pronounced “kon”) means “horse” which I also found pretty funny back then ;)
