Star Trek Returns

It looks like I was wrong when I said that Nemesis and the cancellation of Enterprise were going to be the end of the Star Trek franchise for a while. However, a new Star Trek movie has been set for release in 2008. Look’s like there’s life in the old dog still!

A few quotes

Today, I learned some very useful phrases that everyone should learn.

This is how you speak if you learn English from porno movies.

I’m not lying, I’m writing fiction with my mouth.

I swore never to read again when To Kill A Mockingbird told me nothing about killing mocking birds!

I hope this guy likes his G5

Because his isn’t going to be able to go back to his old G4.

I didn’t hear about this until today when this movie was released, but it seems that some guy at said that if he got enough donations for a new G5 PowerMac, he would blow up his old G4. Well, he did get enough money, and he did blow it up, an dhe has the video to prove it. The sites down now probably due to the sheer number of people trying to watch the video, so you can enjoy it here, free of charge. How nice of me.

.EU registrations open

Finally, after all the sun-rise and sun-down crap, .EU registrations are now finally open to the general public. I got mine from 1 & 1, which faithfully registers all my domains, and is now in the process of registering

I don’t think the domain checker is working properly however, as a lot of domains that I checked are free, but once you WHOIS them, they’re “pending registration”, so I’m not keeping my hopes up for So you better get ’em while they’re hot!

The Sheppey Crossing

I just got my latest copy of the local newspaper here, Sheerness Times Guardian, in which they announced the winner of their name our new bridge competition. The winner very imaginatively name it The Sheppey Crossing.

I mean, there must’ve been a better name then that? It’s just a blatent copy of The Dartford Crossing! Can anyone think of any better names?

The life and death of PDAs

All I ever wanted from my PDA is to keep my contacts, calendar and music synced up with one device (but I’ll live with having a seperate iPod for music for now). But as I use a Mac and Windows based PC, I also needed something that was cross compatible and would do any contact and calendar syncing between the two.

Boot Camping it up with Windows XP

Boot Camp

I don’t think anyone really believed the rumours, but there has been an official move on Apple’s part to start supporting Windows XP on Intel based Macs with the release of Boot Camp Beta. This supposidly makes it incredibly easy to install Windows XP on Intel based Macs, and it now includes some critical drivers that still haven’t been found/developed by the community effort, such as the Radeon X1600 graphics and wireless AirPort networking.

Now if only I had a MacBook Pro to try this with…

Milosevic needs my help

Of all the spam e-mails I get, this has to be one of the best yet.

The Simpsons Movie teaser

A trailer/teaser for the The Simpsons Movie (due out sometime in 2007) has been released. I say teaser as theres actually no real indication about what the movie might be about, but I’m sure if you look around you’ll find rumours aplenty.
