&lt;p&gt;Thing is, they are their opinions. They are entitles to their opinions - in fact, that is what they are paid for. However, when a lot of people pay to take heed of the reviews, perhaps there is a pressure to be overly critical - or conversely, overly complimentary - to suit the audience. For example, I doubt &lt;i&gt;American Pie&lt;/i&gt; was a hit in &lt;i&gt;Saga Magazine&lt;/i&gt;...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So I believe we ought to change our way of thinking with regards to these articles. They aren't reviews, so don't take them seriously. Instead, use them as a way of getting to know the author!&lt;/p&gt;
